For cruise passengers: we arrange the start of your tour around your ship's arrival and disembarkation. Simply give us your cruise details when booking and we'll confirm your meeting time. We’ll meet you at the cruise terminal and return you there after the tour.
For hotel guests: we meet you at your hotel and return you there after the tour is finished.
Available attractions include:
Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses. These were established in the 19th century and epitomize the fusion of western and Japanese architecture characteristic of Hakodate, the first port city to be opened to the West in 1854.
Mount Hakodate by cable car. On windy days the cable car may not run, but taxi is an alternative to see this stunning view from the mountain, one of the most famous in Japan.
Motomachi old port area and historic buildings. Motomachi is home to three of the oldest European churches in Japan as well as many ancient Japanese wooden-frame buildings.
Morning seafood market. Here you can sample crab, octopus and squid, and fish for live prawns to be immediately eaten raw.
Historic Star-fortress Goryokaku and Tower with spectacular views over the city.
